South Asian Youth Mental Health
The SAYMH self-assessment is a 5-question assessment that asks questions in regard to an individual’s mental health situation. Based on respondent answers, appropriate resources are tabulated, and an appropriate list of resources is generated to enable individuals to efficiently access appropriate resources according to their mental health needs.
This provides a brief introduction to topics such as “understanding mental health”, “when you should get help?”, and “understanding addiction”, which can help guide your understanding of mental health and how to navigate these topics.
SAYMH is a group of emerging South Asians professionals from Calgary who appreciate the strengths and challenges faced by the South Asian community in embracing mental health and illness. Our mission is to spark conversation and ignite momentum towards more informed attitudes about mental health and illness.
